Unreal II Preview

There's an Unreal II: the Awakening Preview on Computer and Video Games with a look at the upcoming shooter sequel in the works at Legend Entertainment. Based on getting to check out the game first-hand, the article includes quotes from Legend's Glen Dahlgren in discussing how the Unreal follow-up may finally surpass Half-Life in the author's mind as the preeminent single-player FPS, what gameplay is like, and the decision to forego any sort of multiplayer support.

... what has Valve done besides HL? An add-on for HL? If the HL mod community didn't keep that old engine going they would probably already have closed their doors.

I would imagine they are hard at work on HL 2, or maybe plan on releasing TF 2(but don't want to rush things, plus they want bragging rights over Duke Nukem Forever as the longest development period for a game), and I vaguely remember another project being announced but I can't remember why I should care.

Don't get me wrong I am not here to flame HL or Valve. I loved Half-Life until about half-way through. Then it was just the desire to see it all the way to the end. I loved CS for a few months(until the cheats & that damned bunny-hopping ruined it). I thought DoD was much better over all. But even then moved on to newer graphics and other game-play after a few months.

So if you guys(and the media)stop talking about Half-Life maybe Valve will finally release another product. Or fold in Ion Storm(Huston)shame.

Now what the $#@% is taking so long to finish Team Fortress 2?
