Ive been having a problem with the ti4200 for a while now. talk about a problem thats more than described, it's enough to drive you mad. As an expert in the field, i'd tried tons of solutions, and finally took it back from where I bought it. They argued. duh. general crappy CS. Monarch Computer, i told them, if it's not bad, swap it then. I know it is, even though I cant show it to you. Finally, i pitched enough fit I suppose they swapped for a new one. I came home with the same problems. Nothing on the net at all about the problem, only a couple threads about nv errors, which is what you get when the problem happens. This one should last about 3-4 months before it becomes unusable, I'll wait till Gainward gets their correct products shipping since they are shipping out the same defective cards now. Sad sad...

I build my new PC about two months ago- the graphics card I threw in? Gainward Ti4200... I don't have a backup graphics card. I don't want to spend cash to run my PC while waiting for a replacement to be sent... and I've been getting a bunch of pink and blue squares while running 3dsMax every so often (although I haven't seen it in any games...) Well, I don't overclock, so maybe it's just that application...

I have one of their Ti4200s too... but it hasn't given me any trouble. Hopefully it never will! Capacitors these days seem to have real QC issues eh?

I built a new system in July. 95% of the parts came from Newegg, including a Gainward Ti4200. I remember everything came on July 4th weekend. When I pulled the card out of the bubble wrap to my horror a capacitor fell out on the floor! I immediately got an RMA from Newegg in about two weeks turn around. I haven’t had any problems with the replacement card and I’ve had it overclocked most of the time. Maybe the problem is with the connection and not necessarily the capacitor itself?

Hmm, if anyone's having problems with crashes running 3d modelling applications- I fixed it in 3dsMax by running in their software render mode rather than D3D
