however I fear that when those fucking Sierra BASTARDS fired the entire DevTeam a week after they completed Tribes2, that this great notion for a game died with the termination of the teamActually, it was Vivendi that closed down Dynamix and it happened four months after Tribes 2 shipped. Sierra had even more people laid off than worked at Dynamix.
What I don't understand at all, is that Sierra offically dropped support and future updates for Tribes II (correct me if I am mistaken)You're mistaken.
Sierra has never dropped support for T2, although it took a lot of internal lobbying to get the last patch out (there was a gap of about a year between patches). GarageGames, which has several key ex-Dynamix people, did the work on the last patch.
The patched version of T2, with about 30 new maps, the Classic mod and Team Rabbit 2 added, has been re-released in jewel case format for about $10.
The next Tribes game won't be developed directly by Sierra, but done under their supervision by a third party developer, much the way that 2015 did MoH for EA and Raven did JK2 for LucasArts.
