It might be for him, but it isn't for me Bob. I defend the game because I like it. Just like I would defend B-17, NeverWinter Nights, Ghost Recon or any other game that I like.
I have no financial stake in WWIIOL or CRS, I do however defend it because I love it. I like how it plays now, and it seems to grow a little better with each patch.
You say that I am trying to push my ideas on someone else. I am not. I am defending the game, not by saying you SHOULD try it but by saying that there is nothing to lose by doing so. I have no problem with former customers not likeing the game, or being pissed at CRS for the horrid launch. Believe me, I was there for that, I know how bad it was, and it was BAD.
However, unlike you, I feel that CRS did all they could to right the situation and make it as good as they could for the customer base they had left at the time. Repeated extensions of the free trial and the fact that the company motored on despite the fact that they are a very small company without the backing of EA, Sony or Microsoft, really made me want to see these guys suceed.
I am happy to say that they are succeeding. They are growing and hopefully the game will continue to improve.
I hold no ill will for you Bob, you feel you were burnt at the games launch and I respect that you do not want to try it again and that you feel that you were ripped off at launch. That is fine, no problems there. I do, however, intensely dislike Blair. The facts are he lies about anything CRS does or did.
I have no problem with dislike of the game. I just would rather see a rational dislike of the game, without the ill-will of the whole commmunity that some of you seem to have.
I will continue to play the game, you will continue to NOT play the game...let's leave it at that.
