Downloads Page now offers the version 1.7 patch for the
massively multiplayer game of World War II combat. This
post to the WWII Online Forums by producer Chris "Mo" Sherland
features details on what's new and different in the new version, which includes
hardware T&L support as well as gameplay tweaks, additions, and fixes.
"All I wanted to do is save someone the money they might have spent on this purchasing this 'game' and the $12.99 they would have spent per month..." Ok, no problem Bob. Only one problem, you can download the game FREE! You can play for the first month...FREE! Only after that must you pay 12.99!
Look, the game is not for everyone, but alot of people enjoy it and the player base is growing. WWIIOL will never hit the player base of EQ or UO but it is a self-supporting community now. The game is going to survive, much to the chagrin of guys like Blair, who is wasteing his entire recent life trashing the game and the community.
Bottom line, if you have not played the game you shouldn't be listening to me or Blair or any other of these guys on this board about whether the game is good or not. If you are interested you should try it and make your OWN decisions.
