I think that the reason so many ex-players feel so strongly about this (can we even call it a game?) is because we feel burned, lied to and taken advantage of. Usually, a game is released, the players make a judgement and it either goes on or ends up in the bargin bin (CompUSA, Albq, NM WW2Online $9.99). But, this one just seems to exsist to lure further 'suckers' in, I guess the idea is to bilk as many as possible and then 're-create' the same type of RTS and start over again.
Who is this guy SirBruce? Customer BASE? Hell, if that many people were paying 12.99 a month they wouldn't be in bankruptcy court would they? Or trying to get more people by doing this Mac thing like a year later (a year too late). He didn't really address many of the other posts though did he? What about the censorship issues? The fact that only paying people can post and yet messages that are not completmentry are removed after a very short time. Fixes for the game game and went and still many 'simple' issues remain unfixed or even ignored. If you look at the box and then look at what one really gets well, just do it and you will see the 'lie' up front. All these game features will never see the light of day. The battle for France has been going on for over a year with no real change except the server gets re-set and all the ranks are adjusted down.
A lot of people read these boards here and I think that if I can help just one not to suffer the ordeal of WW2Online then maybe, just maybe, this piece of crapola will not take the hard earned money of someone else and I will be happy.
The fanboys fight on and on about how great this game is, because they don't want to come to the realization that they have been taken. There are even some fools who hold multible accounts apying not once but even twice for this piece of bug ridden tripe.
