Ships Ahoy: Civ III: Play The World

Infogrames Ships Major Expansion Pack for FIRAXIS Games' Critically-Acclaimed Sid Meier's Civilization III is the press release with word that the Play The World add-on for Civilization III has shipped. Here is the portion describing the multiplayer support this expansion brings to the civilized world: "Sid Meier's Civilization III: Play The World expansion pack includes three different Internet and LAN multiplayer modes: Turn-based, Simultaneous, and for the first time in a Civilization game, a Turnless Mode. Civilization game fans can now face off in more intense, fast-paced games like Elimination, Regicide and Capture the Flag or play a more traditional Civilization-style game. The expansion also supports "Play by Email" and Hotseat games and includes multiplayer scenario support."

You have been able to move stacked units (of the same type, at least) since version 1.17f.

All this should have been in civ 3 to begin with, ala alpha centauri.

Heh just being able to move multiple stacked units all at one go justifies the purchase. I don't really care about the multi. Otherwise during periods of conflict i reckon 70% of the time is just spent on moving all your units. And wars in Civ 3 don't end quickly. And did i mention my fingers hurt?

can't wait to play this. I loved civ3 and this just seems to add to it. Hopefully the multi is playable, from what I have read though it should be. But only time can tell.
