DOOM III Q&A

There's a DOOM III Q&A on Gaming Invasion talking with Tim Willits, the lead designer on id Software's upcoming DOOM III (unless I miss my guess, this was conducted waaay back at QuakeCon). They discuss his inspirations in pursuing a career in game design, working with John Carmack, how DOOM III is coming along, challenges the game has presented, the most impressive feature of their new engine, multiplayer support, mod support, supporting lower-end hardware, weapons, per-poly collision detection, and more.

you're an idiot. "you want such and such, go play such and such."

wanting co-op support is far from saying that we want doom with better graphics.

and #15 dream on about 2gig geforce4's becoming standard in the next 3 years, much less your end of next year statement. the majority is still running shitty 500-700mhz machines. thats one of the reasons counter-suck and halflife engine mods are so popular, and why quake 3 never reached the numbers of players it could have. people cant run it on their crappy machines.
