Blizzard's Next Announcement [Sep 09, 2002, 8:55 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Blizzard Entertainment sends word that their next product announcement will take
place Friday, September 20 during this year's Tokyo Game Show. There are no
further details about the planned announcement other that it will involve
back-to-back press conferences, but this should provide fuel for some
interesting speculation, since the TGS is primarily focused on console games,
though Blizzard has shown off PC offerings at the show in the past.
Oooh... I think there aren't nearly enough Sci-Fi RPGs out there. Fallout set a standard that has never been challenged, which is a shame because that is deffinately my favorite genre.
I think diablo in 3D needs to be their next step. They just released Warcraft in 3D with WoWC not too far behind. It's time for the Diablo series to get that kind of attention, because that is deffinately the best of the two games.
I'm not big on blizzard's version of strategy. In fact, most strategy games these days seem to be WC2/AoE clones. Those games, in my oppinion, don't have enough strategy elements. Plus, they're too focused on resources. I'd like to see a strategy game with focus on strategy and not resources. Something extremely complex but not a pain in the ass to play.
I guess what I'm talking about is Chess, which is the ultimate strategy game. So nevermind. carry on, Blizzard
