Out of the Blue

On the heels of yesterday's scumware discussion, it seems that some users are getting an oddball broken banner ad on this site on occasion that prompts for the installation of a plug-in that sounds a bit fishy (this may only be afflicting Netscape/Mozilla users based on the reports I've seen so far). I'm still in the process of looking into this, but wanted to let you now what was up in case you experienced this yourself, as well as welcome feedback from anyone who feels they have any insights into this, should it turn out it's actually just a bug, or some other deal with a story behind it.

Does anyone else get the feeling the sites name will soon be changed to "Mike's Mews"?

Seriously Blue, get Mike onboard, so you can at least stop writing "Thanks Mike Martinez" after every second item

Would that be the thing that asks to go find a 'plain/text' plug in? I noticed that this morning and simply giggled.

Did the majority of you appreciate the adds while (attempting) to look at the SimCity 4 preview? For those who are too lazy to look, first you are taken to a page with a full screen add......where you need to "click to view feature". Then after about 10 seconds.....you get ANOTHER full screen add, this one doesn't seem to have an out though....so to hell with it. The story I mean.....i don't care that much, and I sure as hell won't stay to see more friggen adds. *Sigh*......time to delete "flash.ocx" again....

I've had a bad day.

IE version 5.1 for mac os x, has had the same problem. Had to wait until I got home from work, the message boards don't work with IE 5.1 for mac either.

Good to be back on a PC.
