There's one more chair that sends you flying, and both cars do it too. I'm sure you will be able to use it to your advantage in the full game.

Yeah, I didn't find it too hard to get that flyer, although I hated -hated- how hard it was to pick things up in general.

Even on easy mode I needed to pick up every shuriken the ninja women dropped, and I needed to do it whilst being attacked on several fronts. No other game has ever made it so moronically difficult to pick up important items.

Also, I found there's a sofa chair which, when you jump onto it and then jump up, lets you get caught in a whirlwind that flings you across the level. Near where you land (exactly where you land if you don't air-move) is an oven from which you can jump and get the same effect again. Only found those two places so far, but I wonder if there isn't a series of them where each blows you to the next and you end up back at the first?

They're pointless, incidentally - no benefit at all.

One of my favorite parts of NOLF was going through the level carefully trying to find every intelligence item, so I was glad to see they already had some in the teaser.
I found a book that gave me 100 skill points underneath the broken down car (this doesn't really count as intelligence). There was a flyer under the wiper of the blue car and another letter on the seat, though I never managed to get that letter no matter what angle I tried it from.
Anyone find anything else? Or manage to get the letter in the car?

Lithtech finally got it right. This game looks great and, yes, it does make a difference. What would you rather look at WW2 On Line or BF1942? Just my opinion.

Sound Blaster Live! Series: If your experiencing missing sound effects and speech, it's due to the outdated driver series (v.4.xx). It's highly recommended that you update to the latest series of drivers (v.5.xx) to correct this issue. To verify the driver version, click on the "Run" option in Windows and type in the folling "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and press enter. This will initiate DirectX Diagnostic Tool Menu. Within the menu select the "Sound" tab and on the right hand side is the drivers column.
This column will provide the sound driver info as to what version is currently installed within the O.S.

i didn't find the new drivers. i looked for it on creative's website, but we all know how much creative sucks... btw i still have 98se, so maybe they are not interested in making new drivers for this old windows. anyone got an idea how to fix this problem?

Personally I find it totally gay to talk about graphics. To me, graphics have nearly nothing to do with how much I like a game. Now HORRIBLE graphics could certainly take some of my love for something but sub par graphics certainly never bother me.
For me interaction with the environment and NPCs/enemies whatever is certainly more important. If you read the latest PC Gamer article on AI you would have read some real interesting stuff about NOLF2. Basically to sum it up these characters actually LIVE in the game rather than just standing there waiting for you to come and kill them.

Man that engine looks really nice. I used to HATE lithtech..thought it was blocky, cheesey looking, but it looks great now. As for the gameplay in the teaser, I really don't have anything to say about it until I play the actual demo. I never played NOLF1, so this is all new to me.

i thought the NOLF 1 demo was absolutley brilliant ( funny as hell , action packed , original...) then i bought the game ...unbearably frequent and OVERLY long cut scenes , mediocre levels & graphics , and ultimately dull ...i returned the game 3/4 thru it (couldnt take anymoe...) now i find this demo annoying , the AI movement is jerky & wierd , alltho the graphics have improved - the 'STYLE OF GAMEPLAY " just doesnt appeal to me....

Well I finally got around to playing it. It was short, but I'm glad to know they have the game working ( *cough* UT2k3) and I eagerly await the full 3 level demo and the full game!

BTW: I was impressed the graphics didn't suck :p Although I'm not the biggest fan of the new face model for kate, I'm sure I can live with it

Yes, I do have a GeForce 4 Ti4600. I have it paired with 512MB DDR and a XP2000. The GF4 is overclocked about 15% and the XP is overclocked to 2100/2200 levels.

However, all the good stuff will be here by the end of the year. I will wait until the NV30 comes out and then compare its price and performance with the R300, picking up one of the two. I will upgrade my CPU and MB with whatever is out in January or so...

Controls = How you maneuver within and manipulate the game world. In this case, I am talking about the overall mouse response and input.

For your information, I have no problems with the 'Lith graphics. I do not think that they are the most amazing graphics around, but I think that they are quite good and even "great" if you consider what they achieve (large levels, view distance, variety, richness, etc.)

Scroll through my previous posts; on more than one occasion I have professed my love for all things NOLF, even holding it as one of the best FPS (games period?) ever made.

Curious as to what your "justification" is,

2. Although improved, the Lith' controls still seem a little too loose for my liking. It is bearable now; it drove me crazy in the first game. I will see what I can tweak in the .cfg file now and I will fiddle with things in the retail game, likely turning off filtering and increasing the sensitivity.

It is just flipping REDICULOUS!!! That people can look at Nolf2 and STILL complain about the lithtech graphics... just shut up! Its stupid. The teaser shows high polly counts, high detail textures, Pixel shader effects, great models and nice lighting.. the trees adn grass looked as good as MOHAA or a little better actually..

Im sorry.. there is simply NO JUSTIFICATION AT ALL for any negative commetns about teh graphics. Its just plain simple minded Stuborness.. or something worse.. Bias.

I found the shotgun in the car - - it *does* make quick work of the ninjettes! I'm trying to block the head ninjette and kill her before she makes it into the trailer, but she always manages to get by before she even loses half of her health.

It would be fun to clip into the tornado to see what happens ...

It is almost like they are trying to sell the demo with this teaser. I think this is a fantastic idea, I'm pretty sure I was going to buy this game any way but this really made me feel good about that for some reason, like they are trying to make me the consumer happy. Good work guys, now if Digital Extremes would get out a demo or anything for UT2003 I would be happy.

Not much to do in the teaser, but I'm completely impressed. It runs excellent (once all the textures are loaded) at 1024x768x32 at medium detail on my P3-700, which is just about the minimum CPU requirement. I get sound glitches in the intro cutscene but I think it's just because my computer is struggling to finish loading while playing the cutscene.

I don't think I'm going to get the demo just so I won't spoil the parts of the game that will be in it, but I'll definately be getting the full game.

He, he, he, I would sign up for FileShack...if I didn't already have FilePlanet. I'll consider switching when my current subscription is up, but I don't think that is for another eight months or so.

Really having no complaints with FP (other than it not being "cool"),
