Out of the Blue

We had an apocalyptic storm yesterday afternoon, featuring lightning, floods, and hail, but this thankfully seems to have shaved five-or-so degrees from the inferno-like weather here (it's only supposed to reach 90 today), which may even allow for an excursion out-of-doors this weekend, provided the tar on the streets manages to re-solidify eventually. So happy weekend! (I'm meeeltiiing!)

Damn, sounds like you guys got hit bad. Here in Tolland County it wasn't too bad. No hail, more rain than I think I've ever seen in my life though and some lightning. My friend's flagpole got struck and it lit his flag on fire.

As far as I know, no power outages. The lightning lasted for a few hours but there wasn't a ton of thunder, it only rained hard for maybe 45 minutes - 1 hour
