Out of the Blue

We had an apocalyptic storm yesterday afternoon, featuring lightning, floods, and hail, but this thankfully seems to have shaved five-or-so degrees from the inferno-like weather here (it's only supposed to reach 90 today), which may even allow for an excursion out-of-doors this weekend, provided the tar on the streets manages to re-solidify eventually. So happy weekend! (I'm meeeltiiing!)

Being up in Putnam county we also caught that storm. The power was only restored at 9am this morning and the phone is still out.

Still we're better off than the house 3 up from us which got hit by lightning and totally destroyed by the subsequent fire.

Needless to say we had somewhat of a hectic night.
