MrsBlue and I seem to have internal thermostats made using entirely different technology. Much of the cooler parts of autumn and spring she is opening windows that I am trying to keep closed and through the winter she's nudging the thermostat lower for every time I nudge it higher. This pattern of me being the one who needs warming up changes in the heat of summer though... we have been trying to peacefully coexist through these dog days in spite of her insistence of having several layers of winter blankets on our bed. I have been surviving by sleeping on top of the blankets, but last night needed to push the entire pile over onto her side (a veritable mountain), as I realized I am starting to develop carpet burns on my knees and elbows from the rough top blanket. Our boudoir is cool enough to get by without an air conditioner, provided you are not overly bundled, but it seems that the solution to this bizarre conflict will be to put the unused AC in the window so that one can still be comfortable even when using a comforter.
