"If Halo for the MAC or the PC is an ounce entertaining compared to other titles at the time of its release I will be GREATLY suprised (and pleasantly). "

First off, how much different is code on an Xbox to that of a PC? Seriously, the only real differences are the looks. Now, if you knew jack about the codebase, and the fact that it was ORIGINGALY slated to come out on Mac/PC, then how in the world could the codebase be hard to port over? Your arguement of would have/could have/should have is moot, since in this case the would have/could have/should have means that porting the game won't be hard, and adding features will be easy. You're going from a limited platform to basically a limitless one. Xbox -> PC is a good thing in this case.
Also, you, #112, are basically saying that any game that's re-released onto another platform sucks. Erm. I happen to like playing GTA3 on my PC with RATM playing as my driving music. I also happen to like playing the re-released Dragon Warrior 1/2 that's been ported over to the PSX. I like playing Sonic on the Gamecube more then I do on the Dreamcast. Will I like playing Halo on my PC? You're damn right I will. I STILL have not actually SEEN the game played. No one I know owns an Xbox. I sure as hell am not buying one to play 1 game.
On the other hand, some games shouldn't have even tried to be ported. I don't want to even imagine the gayness of Morrowind on the Xbox.
