Return of the See-Through Drivers

The alert folks at CS-Nation noticed something noted in a recent review of the ECS AG400 SiS Xabre 400 video card (at the bottom of the page) where it's revealed that the drivers offered with this card feature the return of the dreaded see-through walls feature that basically offers ample opportunity for cheating in games. You may recall that ASUS got themselves in hot water with their own similar cheat-enabled drivers (story) which they subsequently retracted after gamers expressed their outrage (story). To add a rare editorial comment: We don't see any good reason for adding such features other than to gain market share they would not be able to earn based on their product's more legitimate strengths, and wholeheartedly throw our support behind this Remove The ECS Cheating Drivers Petition as well as any other reasonable efforts we hear of to show ECS the error in doing something based on their own perceived self interest that is so clearly detrimental to the interests of gamers and the gaming community.

If you model characters as points, you could probably use BSP trees for the scene geometry. You might get weird things with characters appearing entirely or not at all when they're peeking around corners, but it would be efficient.

This is all if you're crazy enough to want to do this.
