A post called A leaked early test version of
UT2003 on the Infogrames Forums (thanks Shacknews)
by Epic's Mark Rein offers some thoughts on a leaked version of the upcoming
UT2003 Demo that has been making its way around the Internet. The post explains
the issues Infogrames has to deal with when it comes to news like this, and goes
on to address some issues about the demo that he's been hearing, including
whether the actual release of this demo should be considered
"overdue," why they are not just releasing the current version since
it's already been leaked, and why they have not been forthcoming with more
information.
Ya be carefull trusting UKgamer. In the past they have been VERY accurate, but every now and then they jump the gun a bit.
But they are still saying that its to be released in less then 10 days! Good new imo! Cant wait since the warez version is kinda buggy.

Uk gamer just pulled that info. I literally watched it happen as I refreshed my browser.

It appears that the new leak is 65 15meg files. So it's not a demo, but the full game. You download it, and you are scum.

I'm sure most of you have heard already, the UT2003 Final has been leaked......... have seen screen shots and a dir listing of all the Maps......
I really hope this gets sqashed before it gets out of hand. I don't think it's fair to the developers for there work to be pimped around like this before there work is finished.

to invert mouse: make your Y speed negative. . . if it is 2.00 now, change it to -2.00.
Anyone knows how to invert the mouse in the leaked demo?

crappy on super systems? I have a 1.3 GHz, 256 ram, Geforce3 (that is NOT a super system) and I have all the graphics on full and 1024*768 and it runs very good.

I have played the leaked DEMO, where i got it from and how is not your concern. It was nice to see what Epic and DE have created in the time nobody even knew it existed. Stil it's rough and not complete, you can judge it but it doesn't make a difference.
This DEMO has the following issues:
Epic and DE deserve our respect and support, so plz do not leak this demo any further. Just give them time to finish it instead off them having to hunt down this leaked incomplete version. This so we can all see how it is supposed to run and play. No doubt the issues i mentioned are already fixed in the near final version.

- BOT AI is unfinished
- Skins for BOTS are missing
- Maps are incomplete
- Menu system is incomplete
- On super systems it can still run crappy, cause it ain't finished
