Oh please. Half of you, now that A PC version of Halo looks unlikely, have thrown their rattles out of their prams screaming "well, I didn't want Halo anyway, so ner!". The other half think Microsoft is the root of all evil (it's business, people, grow the hell up!).
Halo's been "commercialised" for the XBox? What?? And somehow PC games aren't commercial? As PC users, are we part of some underground scene that only a select few know about? Where games are made for the love, not the money?
Jeez, crawl out of your parents basements, children. It's just a game. And for all of you going on about the hype surrounding the PC release before it became an XBox title: BUNCH OF ARSE! There were bits and pieces in magazines, but there was hardly full-on commercial hype. That's like saying Star Trek: Assimilator was hyped before it was cancelled. It wasn't, it had merely been announced and a couple of screenshots bandied about.
And how do you know how much the game has changed from the PC version? How do you know it's been simplified? Loads of game studios announce ambitious features that never make it or are toned down for the final game, and that's just PCs. Maybe certain features never made it to the XBox, but for all you know, that could have nothing to do with the platform, but with the fact that their ideas were too ambitious.
But no, stuff it. You'd all rather hate something, or blame something, cry like babies and scream how unfair the world is, because it doesn't go your way.
