Jedi Outcast Demo Level

Contrary to earlier indications, the new level of the Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast demo (story) is now available from Jedi-Outcast.com as a separate download for owners of the retail game (thanks Ant). It's a 6.0 MB download and we confirmed with Raven Software that it is a legitimate albeit unsupported release, although the site is very slow so it may take a while to obtain a copy. Update: The level apparently had some issues, and these have been corrected in a newer version of the map, available from us as a 6.3 MB download, and it includes a demo.bat file to properly play the map.

I don't buy single player games for the multiplay. I buy them for the single play. And I am about to finish Jedi Knight's single play for the second time and will soon play it again on it's hardest skill. The game is fantastic. I can spend 25-50 bucks at a bar. The hours I've gotton out of JK2 is more than worth it.

I haven't played the demo but I have played the game. I'll put it this way, I'm a big FPS freak, even playing the hell out of Blood 2 back when it first came out. This game was fun when I beat it, but I actually haven't touched it since I finished the last battle for the first time.

So to me it boils down to do you want to spend 25-50 bucks for a great first player game you'll proabably play once, and a so-so multi.

Yep. Cause one game from a company that doesn't have a good multi is a reason to not like an entire group of people. Good, at least they'll be more bandwidth for SOF2 multi when it's finished later this month.

It was a simple question. I am not whinning about the demo. I know it is a demo. Reply to my question instead of ranting...

Simple Question:

Is the gameplay in the full game better than the demo?

Simple Reply?

well, but its true. if I would have known that this game blows that hard in multiplayer (bugs and gameplay) I would have DL'd it instead of buying it. the singleplayer rules but its short and not worth the money alone.
at least I learned not to buy anything anymore from Raven.

Is the gameplay in the full game better than the demo? I hope so, 'cause I thought thought the gameplay in the demo was a little weak.

I bought the game, ass. The Collector's Tin, in fact, and it was money well spent.

This level is fairly short, so don't get your hopes up. I personally think they could have included more, but it does manage to work in a few force powers and some dueling.

Oh, and I didn't "warez" this game. I bought it. Ask yourself: If something is worth your time to play, isn't it also worth your money?

While I can't access the site at the moment, I think you'll find that the full version is 63mb. If you already have the game, there's a 6mb download which doesn't include redundant textures, sounds, models etc.
