In spite of how easy it would seem to have such a problem addressed, my email is
still clogged. Luckily Frans is not so affected, so news notifications are
getting through, but if you've written me personally in the past couple of days,
then I haven't seen it yet. I have a growing sense of dread about the aftermath
when this problem actually does get addressed, as my mail client tells me I now
hove close to 800 messages backlogged. Eeeek!

Hey Blue, you are finally getting your wish! www.levelord.com has a small bit of news on the DVD release.
It was nice to hear that from Ewan McGregor. One of only...
what...7(?) characters that has a secure lifeline(and job
insurance) for the series.
Actually, come to think of it, I don't remember any of the
actors saying it was a good movie. I remember them saying
things like, "Man, I was giving advice to YODA" and "I LOVE
doing the scenes where I get to attack people with my
lightsaber", etc...
Still, I've got a good feeling about this one.
Though...if Lucas decided to go for a darker movie, was it
for him or his fanbase? Well...I suppose either's fine as
long as it isn't entirely for his marketbase. ^^;

Outlook sucks. I'm sure Blue must be smart enough to not use that trash.
Lucas is evil. Perhaps not willingly, but evil nonetheless, for what he does to what could be a truly epic story.
Of course it was a disappointment; people have said that since it's release. "Lucas has had to re-think his marketing approach." Yeah, damn right. The next movie(s) need far more muppets, McDonald's marketing, and child-age jokes, so that he can pull in every single demo's money in the WORLD.

is it the case that your outlook goes to retrieve your messages, but that it then counts through all the messages super fast without actually pulling any?
i had it do this to me a few times, and it was an outlook problem. i had to move my .pst file, re-import it, and then everything was cleaned up. but i think archiving mail to shrink the .pst file had the same cleansing effect.

It sounded to me as if Lucas was disappointed in the money earned from the film rather than with the film itself.
Although it's refreshing to hear Lucas actually aknowledge one of his mistakes, I question the timing. The second movie is about to come out, and he knows people won't take him seriously if he talks about how good the second movie is while maintaining that Ep I lived up to expectations. I'll still go see Episode II, awful title and all, but I'll keep my skepticles on this time.
