I'm not saying you don't have a right to express your opinion. I'm saying that posts like "DMA sucks ass, they should stick their game up their ass, I could pull multiplayer out of my ass, I hope legions of army ants crawl up their collective ass," etc. aren't going to mean anything to developers. People who aren't privy to the business, schedule, technical, or creative reasons behind decisions can comment all they want - maybe they even have ideas or opinions worth listening to - but when they do so by spitting out a string of expletives and inviting the developer in question to set their own children on fire, well, you're not going to get anywhere. It's all the more insulting when a company has made a product like GTA3, which is a pretty damn spectacular game, and the reaction is "I am like a retarded AND spoiled child, this toy isn't shiny enough so I'm going to throw my own excrement at you." I'm just sick of seeing it.
"Dont forget where your money comes from. When developers stop listening to the gamers and do their own thing, is when the cashflow starts getting thinner."
Yeah - take a look at statements like this:
"BULLSHIT. Sounds like incompetent developers to me. Time? You've taken almost a year. That should be plenty of time. Lazy fuckers."
Take a look at that and put yourself in a developer's shoes. What are you going to do?
1. Listen to this BS.
2. Say, "Forget those idiots," and make whatever game pleases you the most, and sell a million copies of it.
Tough choice, huh?
