Ships Ahoy [Mar 27, 2002, 10:04 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
We continue to see a flood of release news, the natural follow-up to all the
recent announcements of games going gold. MechWarrior 3 Gold Edition ships
on GameSpot has word that the Mech game compilation is heading to stores.
Looking ahead, Heroes of Might and Magic(R) IV to Ship This Week
is a press release announcing the strategy game is shipping tomorrow. Finally,
getting that much further ahead of ourselves, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast ships
is the announcement that what is in effect the third installment in the Dark
Forces series is shipping, though the article doesn't say exactly when, and as
far as we know, the game's in-store date is still this Friday.

Yeah, the game is really good and all...but DID YOU SEE THE BLINKING KEYCHAIN?????
I broke down and bought the collectors edition of this one. First time ever. Hope I'm not turning into Ray
The keychain is blinding. It's like an arc welder, you know you shouldn't stare at it, but you do. Then at 2:00 am you wake up with flash.

I don't think that it surpasses Jedi Knight (for the time) and could use some more tweaking, but Jedi Knight II is a damn fun game and the first really good Raven game to be released in some time.
This game is much better than Voyager; this is how you handle a license...

I've tried to enforce a black out on JKII but I had to read the first impressions.
I know some others are trying to avoid any info on this so I'll put the following in 'secret text':
There a BOTS!! Not only are there bots, the bots have varying skills. For example:
The Luke Skywalker bot, for example, is incredibly agile and has a lot of force powers, whereas Lando Calrissian is deadly accurate with ranged weapons, but has no force powers.
Oh baby! I'm dying for this to get on the shelves in my area.

Jedi Knight II is on the shelf at Compucentre in Canada. I just picked it up.
Does anyone know if they improved the netcode with the M3 Gold pak? The original had zero lag prediction so "lag shooting" became a skill to master all by itself. Its also good to see Pirates Moon expansion pak being included as it was a glimpse of the game that the original Mech 3 could've been had Hasbro not shoved it out the door 6 months early.
