Out of the Blue

I used to work with a comic named Roger Rose who pointed out it said something about him that he was someone who got sympathy calls when one of the three stooges died. I sort of feel the same way about the fact that I got two phone calls last night to alert me to the fact that Danny Bonaduce was on TV boxing Barry Williams (Danny Partridge versus Greg Brady). This broadcast also included Todd Bridges versus Vanilla Ice and Tanya Harding versus Paula Jones (a late substitute for Amy Fisher). I know they say boxing can cause brain damage, but I thought that was a warning for the participants, not the spectators! Naturally I watched from beginning to end, but hey, I grew up in the seventies, so all of my most vulnerable brain cells have probably already been eradicated.

I hope danny lost. I hate him so much.

No such luck. He pounded on Barry Williams. Barry was really the only person to get hurt.

Then Danny went and made an ass of himself, parading around as if he was heavyweight champ.

What a boob.

I watched the end fight with tanya harding beating up on paula jones. The thing I didnt understand was, why didnt the ref stop the fight, in the second round. It was obvious that paula wanted to quit, shaking her head, saying no and hiding behind the ref. Also I missed the Partridge Brady fight. Who won? I hope danny lost. I hate him so much.

This thing is just crying for a movie of it in action. It's just too silly.

hopefully the "Microsoft Sidewinder GameMind" will work better than the GameVoice.

Actually, now that I think about it, it may not be the greatest idea. I mean, what if your mind wandered while you're playing? That happens to me sometimes. Or you plan your next move and the computer thinks you want to do it now.

Thought provoking.

(sorry, couldn't resist)

Pretty neat stuff. So, when are us gamers going to have our own "Plug(into-your-skull) and Play" controllers?

There is a HOV lane from San Diego to about 30 miles north east, pretty close to Escondido.

Well it seems a women had an inflateable dummy, and a Highway Patrol Cycle officer was driving behind her for a while noticed she wasn't too stable at the wheel so he pulled up along side her and it seems the passenger in the car was deflating.... she was fined etc etc but could you imagine ending up on the 6 o'clock news?

First thing that came to mind was the inflatable pilot in Airplane heh.

I have to admit that I, too, watched Celebrity Boxing last night. At the beginning, it was one of those uncomfortable, guilty, shifting in your seat, 'I feel dirty' experiences, but by the end, I was on my feet cheering for Willis, Greg, Danny, Tonya, etc.

Why, oh why, do they have to make the lowest common denominator of television so damn entertaining?

You know, you sit in enough traffic and you start thinking about buying yourself a dummy... I have fantasized about it often. Or I guess I could just get a motorcycle.

As long as you manage to avoid the car pooling they are trying to encourage I guess any measure is accceptable.
