Out of the Blue

I'm off to pay a visit to Grandma Blue today... I'm trying to figure out what's more antithetical to spending the day working on a game site on the Internet than to visit the old age home, and a few examples come to mind, but this is right up there. IBM to unveil index card-size computer prototype, a story mentioned above, could change things like this down the road, though... maybe someday when visiting a spot like that, one could take advantage of some quiet time for a bit of hand-held Quake?

Story of the Day: Man Sneaks Into His 35th Super Bowl. Thanks Norman Chan.
Weird Science: Corvette Floats on Air With Help From Magnets. Thanks [NARC]RevRaven. I achieved the same feat in a Corvette myself, though it was a temporary situation involving extreme speeds and a bump.
Wild Science I: MIT's robotic helicopter makes first acrobatic roll. Thanks [MP] Wolverine [MP].
Wild Science II: Personal 'jetpack' gets off the ground. Thanks Geoff Finger.
Auction of the Day: F-A-18 Hornet F-18 Fighter Jet Aircraft. Thanks Normski. That's not your father's Oldsmobile.

You can already play quake on a handheld..but I don't know if it can only be single player. The 56k modem and the slow cpu wouldn't make it fun though.
