I just missed my resolution-imposed deadline this morning, but am still in the ballpark, I'll be back on track tomorrow.

I happened to notice that a year ago today began the Chinese New Year, but today does not follow suit, as the year of the Snake will continue until February 12, 2002, which is when the year of the Black Horse will begin (a little advance notice so you can start practicing writing year of the Black Horse on your checks).

Tobacco companies are paying for the fact that they lied through their teeth for years by telling everyone their products were non-hazerdous and non-habit forming, when they knew otherwise.
I will be the first to admit that our legal system needs an overhaul, though- things are way out of control. However, that article does make some good points- I'd probably eat more fruit if the vending machine in my office breakroom stocked apples as well as snickers...
