Wizardry 8 Release Date [Oct 17, 2001, 12:28 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
After a lengthy saga surrounding a search for a publisher, a
press release on GamePen has word to expect the North American release of
Wizardry 8 on November 15. The release includes several quotes from project leader
Linda Currie of Sirtech Canada, but does not offer any clarification about who
is publishing the RPG.

I'm going to get Wiz 8 and I hope they make a JA3. JA2 is still one of the best games of its type.
Jagged Alliance 2 and Wizardry 9 WERE put off due to a lack of financing. They tried to tie financing for those two titles into the publishing of Wizardry 8.

I'm not much of a fan so I haven't followed the JA series, but wasn't JA3 one of the games (along with Wizardry 9) that was put on indefinite hold due to the problems finding a publisher and/or general financing?

If Wizardry 8 winds up being as big a stinker as Daikatana, will it get as much ribbing, or was it just ego in that former case that set it off?
