Out of the Blue

This week's game-related image adorning the logo here is from Command & Conquer: Renegade, Westwood's upcoming C&C action game. We normally have something related to the game in the "alt text" field for these logos so that when you put your mouse over the logo it offers a hint, hopefully somewhat clever, about the image. Unfortunately the weekend seems to have beaten the clever right on out of us this morning, and neither Frans nor I seems to be coming up with a new alt text. If you have some cleverness to donate, and have a suggestion for what to include with this logo, feel free to pass it along either by email or in the forums. Winning entries will receive a hearty thank you, suitable for framing, provided you're willing to print it out and frame it.

Story of the Day: Defeated Independent Citizens mayoral candidate Gordon Freeman says losing the middle-ground lost him the election. Thanks Kryten.
Bonus Story: Cellphones spook British ghosts. Thanks Mend0zA.
Auction of the Day: My entire estate. Thanks RevRaven.

No...

Well, they had Heretic, Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders (which was the full game and an extra two episodes), then came along Hexen. Hexen does not follow the same story that Heretic does, so it is called Hexen. Then we have Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel , which was an expansion pack that I had lost. We also have Hexen 2, and then Hexen 2: Portal of Praevus.

Then Heretic 2 was released, which has no relation to the Hexen serie of games.

Yeah, one of the best mods of all time was Siege, a mod for Hexen 2. There would be two teams and one would have catapults to launch barrels at the wall with. They could swim in a moat but must beware of the fish that bite. There were a lot of things in that mod; so many things, that it could never get boring. However, it was not played forever, and before I had noticed, barely anyone was playing.
