The 80% battery cap feature has been a big improvement in Android. I have always kept an Android tablet in the car, that is charging all the time, so I have something to read, more comfortably than on my phone, at an appointment or restaurant. The previous tablet eventually suffered a swollen battery. Hoping the new one with the 80% cap will hold up better.

I also have a couple of tablets at home we use as 'baby monitors' to keep tabs on Dad, and they just got them update for the 80% battery cap. They spend most of the time plugged in.

On my Pixel phone I use the smart charging feature which knows when I'm charging at night while I sleep, and keeps the battery at 80% until the last hour before I wake up.
DEI hire? Oh how cute, you think you found a way of being a racist without sounding racist. That's adorable!

One feature I've wanted to see expanded upon and mandatory is battery bypass when plugged into the mains. I know there are options via Gamebooster. Battery settings has some kind of 80% charge option upon which it will defer to mains. But they're finnicky in that Gamebooster will only go to mains if the app is allowed to. Likewise, battery charge settings mean the battery still gets charged to keep level at 80% or whatever you selected.

I want a simple toggle so I can run purely from the mains even if my battery is low.
A feature like that would extend battery life immensely for people in my situation ie: phone used sparingly while outside but constantly at home for internet/streaming.

I've been looking at the Asus Rog series as it seems to have a nice, easy bypass option. But even that seems to qualify conditions before it will allow bypass.
A feature this simple should not be this difficult to find. Ideally I want a dialog box to popup whenever I plug my phone into mains and say: "Do you want to charge your battery or bypass and use mains directly?"
