Cyberpunk 2077 Patch Plans

A post on X from CD PROJEKT announces plans for a version 2.3 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 (thanks Reddit). It had planned to update the action/RPG this week, but word is the patch is being delayed to an unspecified date:

We initially hoped to put Update 2.3 in your hands on June 26. However, we'll need some more time to make sure we're happy with it - we're aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2. We'll update you further as soon as we can!

We appreciate your patience!

Male V both times, should probably go female V next time for the full experience.
Female V is definitely the way to go, the voice-over is so much better.

Just started playing this on Switch 2 after bouncing off it twice on PC and Steam Deck following initial release. A much better experience so far - not sure how much of that is due to all the updates since the first attempt, versus playing it on the new and different platform.

I had the same experience with Witcher 3 on PC vs Switch 1 - couldn't get into it on PC, loved it on Switch. Controls seemed more intuitive, gameplay seemed smoother.

It could definitely be because of the updates. I played through Cyberpunk on my Steam Deck (OLED) and generally thought that it was great. There were some strange graphic issues in the expansion and some slowdown.

The Switch 2 port could be improved a bit from the current Steam Deck performance, depending on how fine tuned they were able to make things.

How are you liking your Switch 2? I am very undecided about getting one (I could have and decided against it). The main appeal for me are exclusives, which at this point is only Metroid Prime 4, since they haven’t announced other things.

It’s not improved still very much 10W device performance. Yea Nvidia SoC works some
magic with DLSS but it’s very blurry. Watch the DF review video. The DLC runs at VGA resolution and 20fps on Switch 2. This is why CDPR recommended latest console or PC for it.

Still hoping/praying for Cyberpunk 2077 online/multiplayer.
That alone would give the game years of life and income like Skyrim/GTA Online.
Can you imagine a multiplayer version where Bats would be hunting you for a minor traffic problem like a dozen of hit and runs when you're trying to escape during a mission? This would be just amazing fun!

They apparently switched to making the MP for the sequel, and as an integrated piece this time rather than trying to do it as a separate project.

Nice. I have played through it twice so far, once at vanilla max bugginess, as a nomad, a second time, post big patch post DLC as a street rat, now I'll have to go through it again as a corpo after 2.3 (and a few bug patches) drop.

I should probably go melee/hacking the third time around, went mainly pistol/sniper rifle with some minor melee weapon and hacking backups both times prior. The skill tree changes since release are pretty ridiculous in scope, looking back on it... not even the same game, really. Male V both times, should probably go female V next time for the full experience.

Glad to hear of another patch. I dabbled into the game at some point when I picked it up but was overwhelmed by the size of it and let it go. I did have the intent to eventually pick it back up (this was a few years ago). Perhaps when I'm done with Spiderman-2 I'll revisit this one. That and I hope I can finish it before October where I expect to purchase The Last of Us 2 with all the right spooky vibes.

Cynical take: Quit it with the publicity exercises and the announcements of announcements and just release the patch
Pragmatic take: There's lots of CP77 players who are eager for info on the upcoming patch for a game I stopped playing a while back, so CDPR is doing the right thing here...

I think the game just plays much better with a controller. All my 3x PC playthroughs have been with a controller, the game is built for it.

Anyway, on the PC is a much better experience and there's a plethora of mods. Can't play it vanilla anymore.

Comparing Switch 2 which has low settings 30fps vs. PC at high settings 60+fps? Lol come on. Unless you really want a portable system (and somehow don't prefer a Steam Deck OLED) that's a total waste of sand.
