The first one was OK i guess, didn't grab me for some reason... just like Smalland, which i was bored of within a couple of hours and only just remembering about now.

Greenhell, Valheim, SoulMask, Abiotic Factor, Enshrouded... all much better survival games IMO.

That said, it was one of the first game that i played that pulled crafting material from nearby chests, now that's a HUGE step forward, and which should be in ALL games going forward.

I've played and finished the game solo. Some bosses had special weaknesses that you had to exploit unless you wanted to fight them the hard and long way. I defeated all of them alone but also had explored and produced the best armors, weapons, and equipment in the game.

Solo'ed the original to +2 Toast, and then got bored. 100% everything, including all achievements.

Took me 24 hours to get to the finale. Took 28 hours to advance the tech tree and then build the required junk to get through the final battle. Hopefully they do a better job of pacing mandatory building, this time.

A little worried the park is bigger than the garden simply to give the buggies a reason to exist, especially given they said they've moved away from ziplines for the EA period in the Direct.

And damned if this franchise doesn't need DLSS. The original ran like arse for months and months and months. Not sure I want to put my PC through another of their EA periods with AMD's naff FSR forced down our throats as a moneyhat. Not in midsummer.

Otherwise excited by the prospect. Hopefully it's got the budgetary support for the same length of EA period Obsidian will almost certainly need to get this right.

Yes, yes, yeeees!!! Grounded is next to Satisfactory the best game I've played in the last decade. This is just amazing! Gimme some mutated tarantulas that I can fight in epic battles!
