Apple Blocking Fortnite on iOS [May 16, 2025, 11:59 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Fans of legal drama will be pleased to see this post on X from Epic Games saying that Apple is blocking its resubmission of Fortnite to the App Store, despite a recent legal decision in Epic's favor and a subsequent subsequent "peace proposal" (thanks GameRant). Word is this is preventing the release of the battle royale shooter on iOS globally:
Apple has blocked our Fortnite submission so we cannot release to the US App Store or to the Epic Games Store for iOS in the European Union. Now, sadly, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple unblocks it.

Apple is saying now that they asked Epic Sweden to resubmit something and it's Epic's fault if that is delaying things. These two are worse than my teenage nieces in the backseat of a long car trip. I fully expect the next press conference to start with "Mom...they're touching me!"

Epic is doing developers a solid against apple, who used to defend developers. Then Epic will take the evil crown and we'll start anew.
Is apple defying a court order?
Can they both lose spectacularly somehow? In this battle, I am rooting for the lawyers.
