The composite image contains both the original and the stolen. Yes, on left and right.. but that tweet has two examples (so two images with 4 total components). Open the image to full size and look at the teal rectangles and lines connecting them (hard to see in the small thumbnails).
It's a very very strong example, the stealing artist took the exact text, the "aleph" part.
Which is kind of the craziest thing to me, because stuff like that should have some basis in the game's lore, not just be random words stolen from the internet.
But I suppose it probably started off as placeholder and then just stuck around.
It would be like the set design of Alien having "ACME" on everything instead of Weyland-Yutani.
I can't see anything well enough because unfortunately my eyes and my brain don't talk very much anymore. But I'm sure you are correct. Hopefully now that they have been called out on it they reimburse the artist for use of her work. Whether or not it was intentional, it's clearly known now. Pay her. Regardless of your excuse, you used her work. Therefore you have to reimburse her. Probably damages as well, as she was not asked for permission.
