Here's a heads-up that I will head out early today, to expect the later update to be earlier than usual. Based on what I thought my plans were, this should have been because of plans to watch the NBA playoffs and also dig into DOOM The Dark Ages. But in reality I simply forgot we have plans this evening to celebrate a family birthday. So I'll get to be that guy at the party continuously glancing at the game on my phone. It could be worse, it's not like I'm bringing my laptop to play DOOM, right?

Maybe I am being paranoid, but after Redeye I get exceedingly nervous when I don't hear from someone in a long time who had previously been posting almost daily. A car story and BoP doesn't post? It seems like a very long time since I have heard from him. Just asking for proof of life if you're reading bro...
I can confirm BoP is around, as we exchanged some Linux messages in the last few days. I had also noticed his absence in the forums.

Rhialto wrote on May 16, 2025, 15:15:I can recreate the problem. The issue is not with the length of the URL. As noted, we have code to shorten them. I'm assuming the problem that breaks this function in this case is that the URLs that site generates include two different https tags, which our code doesn't seem to appreciate.Seivardian wrote on May 16, 2025, 13:21:I know, still does not work. WIRED website behave strangely. I was seeing the article then seconds later it's gone. Whatever, why having to give WIRED my email? I know there is trash email and such but I usually use archiver.today but no response today, instead I found https://archive.li/Rm31g
Also I just tried https://www.removepaywall.com but could not paste the link because too long, BN needs to fix this.
