Star Wars Outlaws - A Pirates Fortune Released

Ubisoft announces the A Pirates Fortune story pack is now available for Star Wars Outlaws, the Force-powered action/adventure. This comes alongside a new patch updating the base game to version 1.6 on all platforms. This post has all the details on the patch, while this post reveals a free cosmetic pack for all players is also now available. The previously released Reveal Trailer illustrates the news, and the Windows edition of the pack is available from the Epic Games Store, Steam, and the Ubisoft Store. Here's word:

In Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate's Fortune, keep exploring the world of Star Wars Outlaws with an all-new story, quests, and areas to discover.

The Trailblazer’s reputation precedes Kay as she runs into veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who is looking to settle old scores with a ruthless gang of pirates.

Star Wars Outlaws, gave me a few hours of joy exploring iconic Star Wars locations and getting involved in the micro and macro capers, but paper thin, game was way too easy and linear, and satisfied like a few swipes at your friends' small fries.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride! - HT

I hope that the price for the complete edition will crumble more quickly now that the contents of the season pass have been delivered with this DLC as the (hopefully) final piece. I liked the recent free trial enough to maybe give it a shot when it's down to €29 (ultimate edition) one fine day.

I beat the game and the first DLC about a month and half ago. I had a good time in it. It hit all the right Star Wars vibes. That said, it was without a doubt the buggiest game I've probably ever played in my life. Tons of bugs. Bugs that would require you to either quit the game or another one that disabled all functioning game buttons and you had to ALT-F4 out. That said, I found enough enjoyable content in it to keep on going.

I'll eventually pick this up, but like I said, having just beat it and the first DLC and uninstalling it, I'm quite enough exhausted with it to have another immediate go. I'll let this sit for a bit and then snag it. I was enjoying the in-game card game sabaac very much before I finished the game.

I played the game to finish a while back, and enjoyed it enough, but I really don't have interest in playing any DLC, at least yet.

I like and applaud that they keep improving the game, though the boat has long since sailed on it. Star Wars games seem to have this inability to hit more than 2 points (and often only hit one) in the holy trinity of success I just made up:

- Game play: is fun to play.
- Story telling: has a good story and is told well.
- Ambiance: feels like Star Wars and not like something else with Star Wars paint on it.

I think this game got ambiance right and it's a mixed bag on the if people like the story telling. I bet even the upcoming Zero Company game is going to be lucky to hit the first two as there's no way it won't seem like X-COM with Star Wars paint on it. I'm saying that as a person likely to buy it too.

Oblivion's Shivering Island is 10½ Hours.
Everspace 2's Wrath of the Ancients is 10 hours.
Starfield's Shattered Space is 20+ hours.
Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty is 13 hours.
The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine is 15 hours.
Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree is 26 hours.
Horizon Zero Dawn The Frozen Wilds is 10 hours.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is 10 hours.
etc.
The most exercise some people get is jumping to conclusions.
