So DOOM: The Dark Ages is how officially available, and as I previously
mentioned I'm pretty pumped. I liked DOOM Eternal fine, but loved its
predecessor DOOM (2016) far more, and this sounds like this prequel
circles back a bit to that earlier circle of Hell. When I recently mentioned
buying a copy some of you urged me to pitch for a freebie. But I don't request
review copies of games, since I'm not a reviewer, and no one needs to read
uncritical praise from someone who just likes most games.

Only in the past couple of decades has it switched to "Let's only nominate indie films." Infinity War was the better film, IMO. But also snubbed.
It is kind of hard to believe someone with Scarlett Johansson's experience doesn't understand how the Oscars work. Although I do have to say, from a 30,000 ft view it is obvious Hollywood is pretty much all about the Benjamins. So, you might guess that the Oscars would be based on how much the films earned. But yeah, it has never been that way.

I loved Nobody. I'm not sure we need a Nobody 2. Will wait and see.
Rest in Peace Joe Don Baker. You were a badass in Walking Tall.

And as far as Oscar stigmas go, no genre has it worse than horror movies.

https://youtu.be/SC2eSujzrUYI've said before, I'll say it again -- I am so glad I am in my 60s and not my 20s. Honestly, good luck to those of you with 50+ years left on this planet, I suspect it is only going to get worse. Probably much worse.

The movie made $2,800,000,000, they must have been doing something right. It was nominated for a single oscar (visual effects) that it didn't even win.
