France's Ubisoft full-year net bookings fall 20.5% has final fiscal year 2025 results for the French developer/publisher. Word is the decline to barely $2 billion in net bookings is attributed to "delayed releases and the underperformance of some of its leading titles." The company says it expects fiscal 2026 to be steadier: "For fiscal 2025-26, the maker of the blockbuster franchise "Assassin's Creed" projected stable net bookings year-on-year. Net bookings for the first quarter are forecast at 310 million euros." There is also a vague announcement of game delays, politely called "additional development time." It is not revealing which projects are being pushed back, but it reveals which are not, saying the coming year will see the releases of Anno 117: Pax Romana and the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. Here's word on the unspecified setbacks:
"After a review of our pipeline, we have decided to provide additional development time to some of our biggest productions to create the best conditions for success," CEO Yves Guillemot said in a statement.
As a result, he said, Ubisoft's largest brands should release "significant content" over the next two years.
