The only part of this that bothers me is that Nexon is involved. If it turns out well, I am happy for the SC fans.

Warcraft was up to 3 and then obviously branched into the wildly successful WoW. Will we see a D5 before a Warcraft 4 before a Starcraft 3?

I think they have too many live service games to keep those going and make new games at the same time although I'm not sure they still do much with heroes of the storm, wow, overwatch, hearthstone and D4 alone should keep a lot of them busy enough.

Making SC2 in 3 parts took it's toll too on the people working on it and I'm not sure, but I don't think it sold all that well.

What does that mean released on gamepass just that you can download on MS Store too? It's already been free on Battlenet for many years.

I'm actually surprised they haven't done a Starcraft spinoff similar to basically what WoW was from Warcraft. I know they tried Ghost and then discarded it, but that just might be the problem they have. Perhaps just about anything they create that isn't what the original was, might just become any similar type action game with nothing much standing out besides the lore perhaps. Granted, that might be enough to attract gamers, even if they don't invent anything new.

Not gonna be StarCraft 3, they don't have the talent to make it, dev cycle is too long, and it's not 'console friendly'. Can only expect some shovelware spinoff BS.

Oh. This news story was posted twice, wasn't it? Anyway, I wrote this in the first story:

I never thought I would see the day that Blizzard would farm out Starcraft to someone else. Even considering how different they have become...

Is it a Starcraft mobile MMO? That would be my guess. But they don't specifically mention "mobile" as they did concerning Overwatch.
