Kxmode, they're not referring to receipts in the mercantile sense. It's in the slang sense. You're just not Ohio enough. No cap fr fr.

I appreciate the slang use of Ohio there.

And yeah, it's been slang for a decade now. Used often by people offended that they're being held accountable for their words and actions.

It's not a receipt, you imbecilic clods—it's called Histories. It's how AI gets more personalized for you. It also makes it possible to have multi-threaded discussions and lets GPT remember the context across those threads. In the past, threads were totally isolated—GPT had no clue what was said before. Someone might want to start a multi-threaded convo because long threads can affect browser performance due to memory usage. Kicking off a new thread helps free that up. Framing this as some "thank you for your business" in exchange for consuming your information is conspiracy-fueled ignorance. And the point of AI is to use the information you've been giving it, so obviously, it will consume it.

Histories have been incredibly helpful in helping me craft my Statements of Qualifications for state job postings, especially since it has access to my extensive work history. It's saved me considerable time on each application—easily hours per.
