As promised, 3D Realms has now released the playable demo of Max Payne, offering you an opportunity to try out the gritty third-person action game by Remedy Entertainment on the off-chance that you haven't played the full game yet. We have a local copy with mirrors of the 130.8 MB download, which includes a tutorial, the story introduction, and two levels from the full game.
Im sorry but this game begs for 1st person. The 1st person mod doesnt seem to work for the demo but people say its cool for the retail version. 3rd person perspective is just so boring and lame. Its like watching a 5 inch tall GI JOE character run around and do flips and jumps.
Sorry but this game is only worth it if you find it for less then $10 in the bargin bins. Thanks god for the demo. Almost blew $19.99 at EB to buy it.
