Those jobs are not coming back, doesn't matter what they say. Other people do them in the world because they are shitty jobs, shorten lifespan, toxic materials, minimal wages and so on. You cannot bring those jobs back because nobody will do them and no company will spend the money it takes to build the production capabilities and then motivate people with living wages. Then one day, agreement is signed and poof, all that money spent was just wasted. These new chip factories that will be coming... all the have to do is spend some money on land and wait out the trump term, same as they did last time. For China it is mostly pointless whether the orange monkey keeps raising tariffs. China has a profit margin of ~30% to ~40% on most of their exported goods so the original tariffs of 34% already made the US market unattractive to China. 84%... 125%... it's just numbers to China at this point. The trade is already dead.
