You can virtually eliminate DNS propagation issues by setting your A record TTL values to a low number, like 60, prior to the migration. That would cause anyone caching the entry to only hold it for 1 minute.

Then once you've changed the IP address in DNS, you can put the TTL back to the usual value.

I've changed a lot of internet facing DNS records for customers over my career and this is how you do it to minimize disruption if you don't have load balancers. The impact on DNS servers with the increased load is negligible if you're only changing a couple records.

EDIT:

If, after the migration to a new IP, anyone has problems connecting to BN, you can try the following:

Windows:

From the command line run "ipconfig /flushdns"

Linux:

From the command line run "sudo resolvectl flush-caches" and then verify with "sudo systemctl status systemd-resolved"

Remove the quotation marks from all commands before running them.
