3D Realms unveils details about the new Painkiller game that parent company Saber Interactive teased in 2021. This "modern reimagining" of the original first-person shooter released by People Can Fly in 2004 will come to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Q3 of this year. A new Announcement Trailer shows off gameplay, and the Steam Listing is live. Here's word:

Much of the PK atmosphere was based on the music. I hope they use something similar else it won't be the same.
Painkiller was the first game I ever worked on in the game industry, and the Canadian publisher Dreamcatcher Interactive's best game... damn, I can't believe it's been over 20 years already...
