Uh...what? Edward Kenway, the protagonist of Black Flag was a British pirate in a fictionalized version of the Caribbean and voiced by Matt Ryan who himself is very much British. You can't get much more native than that given the story is set around a British sailor turned pirate.

They also use "indigenous," there are two protagonists you play as, which such big fans of the series seem to forget yet I know despite hating the series. Odd how they focus so heavily on one.
