The real twist: They can't miss out because the game itself is completely missable itself.

Good. Playing as a Japanese Shinobi in a game taking place in Japan shouldn't be punished.

Jorraptor covers AC stuff a lot and got to play hands on recently. He said that there are locations you can't, "finish" with while playing Yasuke because he can't reach certain spots to find all the secret stuff. He said you get a bark from the character that Naoe could reach them though. So you have to leave the area, switch characters, then go back in to have her get the rest. Why in the hell would you ever want to play Yasuke then? Just seems like a giant hassle for a character with a play style that doesn't match the game.

Music to my ears as I will exclusively be playing as Naoe then. And before some touchy person thinks they need to play the racism card: Don't .

I just want to play the/a character that fits the setting. I have no problem playing a black guy and have, in fact, just replayed the Freedom Cry DLC of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag where you play as Adéwalé.

It was pretty good fun. I played some of the DLC back when I played through Black Flag in 2015 but ran out of juice because the DLC was significantly weaker than the main game. I was burned out from all the grinding in the main game, too.

However, now that UbiSoft added Steam achievements to Black Flag, I decided to give it another go and was positively surprised. The graphics are also still holding up. Very nice all around when played "standalone" with some distance instead of right after the arguably much better main game.

Huh? So they watered down what they previously sold as the core of the experience?

Could be cool if it's like the games of old where neither approach is actually balanced and it's the differences in when and where you are OP are interested, but I can't see Ubisoft pull that one off, tbh.
