will a game such as duke nukem forever, which has been in development for 3+ years (at least) be able to break even when it is released?
games nowadays are no longer developed in bedrooms of the early 80's, development teams are quite big, but as games slip and slip, they add to the cost of developement. nobody works for nothing, but this length of development all adds to costs, which is not a problem if the game (product sic!) is released within a short period of time 18- 24 months. but duke nukem has been a long time comming and has cost a lot of dosh, will it be able to break even, let alone make a profit?
how may copies will it need to sell to break even= quite a lot i'd imagine..... millions!
