Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Released

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is now available for Windows, GeForce NOW, and Xbox Series X|S, as Deep Silver and Warhorse Studios deliver on the promise of an action/RPG sequel to return to this open-world medieval setting. The PC edition is available on the Epic Games Store and Steam, and word is it will also come to GOG.com in the spring. For a look at the game in action, check out the Official Launch Trailer, and you can read on for more:
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues the journey of Henry, a blacksmith-turned-warrior, in a thoroughly crafted 15th century Europe. With evolved gameplay mechanics, enhanced combat, and a richly detailed world, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II immerses players into Bohemia in 1403, embroiled in war, feuds, and political intrigue. The journey will test your resolve and place you in a world like no other. Adventurers must choose whether they save those around them…or punish them for their sins.

I just saw a short video of someone trying to sneak up on a guard and before he could get there the guard turned around on him. Not because the guard heard him. Oh no. "What's that disgusting smell?!" the guard yells and then he whirled around on the dude. Because they smelled him coming up from behind. That's some hilarious writing/gameplay stuff if true.
yeah you get an icon on the hud if you reek and people dont like it at all
Ever walk past a homeless person that hadn't washed for weeks? You can absolutely smell them from 30 feet away. It's not a smell you mistake for anything else.
If Russia stops fighting, the war ends. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends. Slava Ukraini!

That sounds so cool. I mean it amuses the hell out of me as well..but I can dig it for the gameplay value too.

I have yet to play, but the previous one was pretty advanced with the stealth.
Like you had noise on your clothes, but you also had brightness on clothes too... so you had better stealth if you wore all dark gear.
I really don't see an issue with needing to not be smelly in addition to the other 4 or 5 variables governing stealth.
I was always washed for the Charisma bonuses anyway, so a Stealth mechanic based on the same thing isn't a big deal.

It looks like there is a F5 save mod out, warning being that it only works when you could normally save and it may have issues during other times.
Also true the save + quit does work so that is a positive. I like to stealth a lot in these types of games.
But one screw up and you have to restart. I don't really like killing non-combatants.

Eagerly awaiting the GOG version.

Looks like no GoG version saved me from new release bugs. Reports seem half/half running fine to crash central. Lots of wonky buggy combat though.

while you're making that candy, I recommend you add small doses of additive substants like alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, or fuck it; all three, so that they keep coming back.

I picked it up. messing about in the beginning. It still has the crappy save system. I know the intent is to force people to commit to the things they do and the resulting consequences but still it is a bit annoying. I may wait for a save mod.

Or you could commit to your choices. ..... it's only a game, what harm is their if things turn out bad for you .... later it could become something interesting.

In saying that, it would be good if the software gave you the choice, so I get what you are saying.

(It's like it is in soft-hardcore mode)

What harm? You have to start over from scratch simply because you wandered into the wrong place? I was a dozen or so hours in, doing okay, being careful, stumbled across a group of bandits, insta ganked, game over, ragequit, uninstall, never went back. It doesn't matter if the devs don't like people save scumming because being in business is about what the customer wants or there's zero point in being in business. As the old saying goes, if they want candy, give them what they want. I don't want to waste my time with that sort of bullshit.

I only played for a small amount of time during my lunch break, but it seems like the combat system has improved. I did run into a weird issue with VSync and the frame limit not working correctly, but after restarting the game a number of times and then launching the game through the AMD Software, it started working correctly. I have no idea what was causing the issue or why it fixed itself.
Just don't use vsync. Problem solved. Limiting your frames and throwing away the work of your GPU is just wasteful aristocracy at work. XD
