I was told that if I collect 10 of them I get a free copy of any Ubisoft game.

Yep! That's why "reward" is in quotes on the back of the card in the terms and conditions.
Yeah don't fall for the hype. It just gave me "The Crew"

800 XE reporting for duty sir. The Atari that couldn't decide if it was a computer or a game console. https://videogamecritic.com/xeinfo.htm

I had a TI-99/4A before that. I learned BASIC on it and a TRS-80 around the same time. We had an Apple IIC clone as well, like a Laser128 or something, because my stepdad didn't like Apple but he wanted to know how to use one. I hardly used it other then to play the original Castle Wolfenstein. Just the 800XE and then a steady diet of Atari ST machines until I got my first "PC" in 1993. A GoldStar Gold Note 386sx Model GS620 Laptop. I got it for "school" but mainly used it for Commander Keen and Civilization I believe.

That machine committed suicide by corroded battery while I was on a trip overseas after just one year. I forgot to remove the battery before I left and when I returned to the aprtment a month later it had corroded bad enough to damage the machine beyond repair and the desk it was on. Still have zero clue what caused that other then people told me I should have seperated the battery before leaving for that length of time. I lived in Phoenix at the time but it wasn't monsoon season so I don't think humidity was a deal. Just a 30 year old mystery and life lesson I guess.

I only know BASIC

10 RANDOMIZE TIMER ' Initialize random number generator

20 LET number = INT(RND * 100) + 1 ' Generate random number between 1 and 100

30 PRINT "Pick a number between 1 and 100:"

40 INPUT guess

50 IF guess = number THEN

60 PRINT "About time. Can you guess correctly again?"

70 GOTO 90

80 ELSEIF guess < number THEN

90 PRINT "Terrible. Too low!"

100 ELSE

110 PRINT "You suck. Too high!"

120 END IF

130 GOTO 30 ' Repeat guessing loop

90 END

Sure. Write an original game for the Atari 800. You'll have 48KB of memory to work with. Good luck.

I remember that game but never could really get into it. The Lucasarts adventure games, though, were absolutely legendary!

they re-branded it "'Cuz Disney Ster Wers."

Apparently not until 1993, then back to Lucasfilm Games after the Disney purchase.

I never played this game, time to give a try now that I am knee deep in emulators at the moment.

Same. I spent a serious amount of time playing this game back in the day, on the Atari 800.
