Our new driver also adds support for new technologies, RTX game updates, new NVIDIA app features, and more:
- DLSS 4: New AI innovations further enhance image quality, and accelerate performance. And DLSS Multi Frame Generation, in conjunction with the suite of other DLSS technologies, multiplies frame rates by up to 8X on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs
- DLSS 4 Overrides: Upgrade over 75 games and apps to DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation using a new NVIDIA app feature
- NVIDIA App: RTX Video Super Resolution optimizations and enhancements, new multiple display settings, Advanced Optimus support, and more are introduced in a new NVIDIA app update
- NVIDIA Broadcast: Update the popular app now to add two new AI-powered effects
- RTX Game Updates: Get Game Ready for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, RTX Mega Geometry, RTX Hair, and Neural Radiance Cache, in new updates for Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™, and Star Wars™ Outlaws
- NVIDIA Smooth Motion: A new driver-based AI model delivers smoother gameplay by inferring an additional frame between two rendered frames on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs
- New Games: Get Game Ready for the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Marvel's Spider-Man 2, two new titles featuring DLSS technologies
- New G-SYNC Compatible Displays: Another 19 gaming displays are now supported

attempted to grab a 5090 FE earlier this morning despite my earlier comments about skipping the card. It went poorly, as expected.
I can't believe Asus wants over $4100 CAD or whatever for one of their models, when the FE is $2899.99 and also appears to have a good cooling solution already (minus the memory cooling which is apparently below average). WTF do you get with Asus for well over $1000 over the FE.. bloatware software, RGB and a couple degrees C cooler performance?
5:59 am PST best buy had one in cart, went to checkout right away and it then removed itself from my cart. Would just error out after that for pre-order on restock and finally after 3 minutes removed that option outright.
Very paper launch.
Gamers Nexus just dropped a video titled "Paper Launch" , you'll never guess what it's about. We crawled through the internet to try and learn more about just how low the inventory and stock was, as well as share our own experiences of trying (and failing) to buy any RTX 5090 GPUs on launch day.
We also spoke with numerous people in the industry to try and learn more, and it does look like the 5090 is lower supply than the RTX 4090 was at launch.

To anyone who uses the new "transformer" DLSS model, this drivers gave me a HUGE performance bump on a 3070.
Going from 10% slower than CNN ( classic DLSS ) to faster than CNN.
Enjoy!

Factorio don't care if you got a 3090 or 5090.

Let's give it some time. nVidia might have jumped the gun a little. There was apparently some "miscommunication" with the board partners and nVidia also seem to be in some kind of fight with Samsung who are the supplier of at least the first batch of GDDR7 (and of some of the HBM modules for the pro AI cards). Or were, rather.
nVidia want to take all orders away from Samsung because they are/were unhappy with the HBM supply and quality (linky) and how Samsung was doing business with them.
People were wondering why Huang mentioned "Micron" as the GDDR7 supplier at the CES presentation in early January when it turned out that the first demo/press cards were actually equipped with Samsung memory. "Micron" might not have been a slip of the tongue as originally suspected.
There is probably a little turmoil behind the scenes because nVidia pulled the initial order(s) from Samsung and the next batches will likely really be Micron (and maybe SK Hynix?) but it may take some ramp up time before everything is in place and before production is full steam ahead at 100%.
It's a little muddy but putting 2 + 2 it seems pretty clear to me that nVidia jumped the gun and revealed/announced RTX 5090/5080 before the typical buildup phase of launch stock quantities had concluded. It will be interesting to see if Samsung GDDR7 will be used beyond the first batch of cards or if we will only see GDDR7 of other suppliers down the line.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure we will be seeing much better availability starting from March. It also took ~4 to 5 months after the launch of the RTX 4090 until the prices came down from €2500+ at launch to the €1700 - €1999 range. It's the new "normal".
Take a breather, relax. Don't support the greedy greasy disgusting scalpers. Things will be looking much better in spring/summer.

Am I the only one that gets FOMO vibes when I see these type updates as soon as a new video card is released? It's like, aaaaaah! I'm being left behind with my 3090!!!! AAaaaah!!!
At this point, I might get excited just to jump to a 4090 if I could find one cheaper, but let's be real, graphic card prices right now, ESPECIALLY anything 90 is gaaaaaaawd damn.

Maybe that's worth 15% bump on MSRP?
But a +40% increase is price gouging, so yes, I do agree with you![]()
