Guess reading is hard..

A new class of star has manifested in the universe. Purple-class solar systems feature countless new worlds, ready for discovery. Weave space and time for the Autophage in an epic new story to reveal these mysterious hidden shards of reality…
If it's anything like the story that's in the game, it's going to be boring and tedious as well.
To you, so anyone else I suppose ?
That's why all games have perfect 0% or 100% scores on Steam, as all people have the exact same tastes in anything.
I know, just kidding ! *runs out*
Yes, I have heard similar complaints from other people. The story in NMS is so bad that I can't even recall one interesting thing that happened during it. It was all travelling to random locations with the same buildings you see everywhere else, reading messages from people or entities there's no reason to care about.

Which means you didn't check the patch notes hence "reading is hard".. Thanks for verifying, I guess?

You know, you could have just pointed out that there were other updates that weren't covered in the video. There's no requirement on the internet for you to be an ass about it.

I re-installed this after taking a good 4+ year hiatus on it and I just ran into non-stop crashing. Seems to be a common issue with the game.
Two things: 1) Unfortunately, crashes right after their releases is kind of normal. However they are pretty good about getting patches out quickly (a couple weeks at most). 2) If you haven't updated your video drivers recently you might want to try that.

I am guessing this is their clever way to add new features and content without destroying existing bases and such

overall a nice update, but... I wish they would get their fantasy RPG out....

I put almost 100 hours into the VR version this year. At that point I'd run out of "story", and expedition gameplay was just repeating the same tasks over and over again. It doesn't look like this version is either adding any story or gameplay, so I'm not seeing a reason to dive back in.

I feel like I should reinstall this, just to see how it is now, many many patches and additions later.

I was never that into the actual gameplay though, seemed like it was a little boring. Impressive, technologically, but not an actual fun game to me.
