I actually do stupid stuff, BoP, like mountain biking in the middle of nowhere where it could take hours for someone to carry me out, or for me to walk out, not to mention some of the planes we fly can easily cut a limb down to the bone, so I think one of those in my go-bag for emergencies is a good idea.
I prefer to call it "vigorous adventuring". A couple of weeks back, the dogs and I were on an extended trek during that polar vortex storm that hit and wilderness camped throughout it.
